Brickles Yurts – A Secluded Woodland Glamping Retreat

This exclusive and secluded glamping site sits on the edge of Brickles Wood, a peaceful 60-acre woodland that forms part of Hydes Farm.

The yurts face south-east, catching the morning sun and offering far-reaching views across the Blackmore Vale towards the chalk downs of Bulbarrow—an inspiring backdrop for relaxed mornings and nature-filled adventures.  Enjoy a bbq with your loved ones, sit and relax by the campfire and star gaze into the night – maybe even spot a shooting star.

Brickles Wood is a sanctuary for wildlife, with mature oaks, hazel coppice, stands of pine and beech, and the occasional wild service tree shaping the landscape. This rich woodland habitat supports thriving birdlife and butterflies, and you may even spot barn owls or even a fox.

Your Camp at Brickles

Brickles features three cosy sleeping yurts, two thoughtfully furnished with a real king-size bed, two singles, and an optional pull-out futon made up on request. The third yurt comprises of 2 proper single beds.
A four yurt serves as the central living area, complete with a dresser, and comfortable seating.

  • Covered kitchen with gas oven and washing-up area

  • Head height fridge freezer 60/40 split, giving lots of space for all your chilled and frozen foods

Easy Access & Local Recommendations

Brickles Wood is easily reached via excellent train links to Sherborne, just a 10-minute taxi ride from the estate. A taxi office is conveniently located at the station.

For supplies, we recommend Dike & Son in Stalbridge—an outstanding family-run supermarket offering local Dorset produce alongside everyday essentials.
