Tucked beside a quiet farm track near the Deer Park on Stroud Farm, Withybed Yurts offer a peaceful glamping retreat surrounded by the gentle rhythm of a traditional Dorset mixed farm, with cattle, sheep and rolling cereal fields shaping the landscape.

Facing west, the camp is perfectly positioned for breath-taking sunsets that wash the sky in gold each evening. Wildlife surrounds you here—roe deer often wander along the wood and field edges, and as night settles in, the calls of tawny and barn owls echo through the trees. In May and June, you may even hear the unmistakable song of the nightingale, creating a magical soundtrack to your stay.

A seasonal stream runs just below the site, flowing softly between two woodlands on either side of this private, secluded campsite, it’s the perfect base for woodland walks, slow morning rambles and peaceful nature spotting just steps from your camp.

When night falls, gather around the campfire, toast marshmallows and enjoy the unforgettable stargazing as the sky fills with stars.

Your Camp at Withybed

Withybed features three cosy sleeping yurts, each thoughtfully furnished with a real king-size bed, two singles, and an optional pull-out futon made up on request.
A spacious safari tent serves as the central living area, complete with a dresser, dining space, and comfortable seating.

• Covered kitchen area with gas oven, solar-powered fridge and every utensil you could need.
• Outdoor bath under the stars (a guest favourite!) heated by a wood-fired water tank.  For the more adventurous, may even be used as a cold plunge!
• 2 Additional private gas heated showers
• 2 flushing loos
• Plenty of space to relax, play, and unwind
• Head height fridge freezer 70/30 split, giving plenty of space for all your chilled and frozen foods.

Withybed is family-friendly and welcomes up to two dogs, making it ideal for those who want to share their nature escape with children and four-legged friends.
It’s also a wonderful choice for group stays and hen dos, offering privacy, space, and a setting that feels both relaxed and special.
