Welcome to Stock Gaylard
Stock Gaylard is a small traditional country estate offering four secluded glamping sites surrounded by nature and wildlife in the heart of the Dorset countryside, as well as a chalet stay on the Dorset Jurassic Coast.
Come and enjoy your own secret slice of the English countryside – where adventure, freedom and nature awaits!
Stock Gaylard Estate is a small, working traditional country estate just over 4 miles from Sturminster Newton and 8 miles from Sherborne in Dorset.
The estate is approximately 1800 acres with around 300 acres of predominantly oak woodland, 80 acres of common land and an enclosed 80-acre deer park with a small lake.
Over the last couple of hundred years the estate has been used for country sports and the hedgerows and woodlands preserved for that purpose. The result is an unspoilt environment that encompasses modern dairy farming with a number of Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI).

The Green Man Pub
The Green Man pub has been at the centre of the village of Kings Stag in Dorset for hundreds of years. After changing hands numerous times the pub is now a freehold and in the private ownership of a local family.
The pub has been extensively refurbished and has a fresh new look inside and a fantastic new beer garden.
Our quintessential Glamping Dorset pub prides itself on its delicious homemade, local and fresh food with an excellent drinks selection including local real ales & ciders, old favourites and an extensive wines and spirits list. The Green Man at Kings Stag offers the perfect balance between a traditional and contemporary pub.
With cozy fires & a sunny beer garden The Green Man is perfect whatever the season.

OUR TESTIMONIALS
WHAT PEOPLE SAY
Peaceful, a totally grounding experience.
…the perfect place to reset, recharge and just be. From the beautiful sunrises and sunsets to the amazing stars and we were lucky enough to see the full blue moon. Our wood peckers were still there too. The bed is super comfy, it has all you need for an off grid experience but with a little luxury, just a beautiful place to be.

Lovely Local Area, Recommend it
We visited the house for a guided tour. Andrew was an amusing and knowledgeable host and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The house and it’s church are small but the local history is very interesting.
