Parsons Camp - A Glamping Bus & Bunkhouse in Dorset
Parsons Camp is situated between the bottom corners of Brickles Wood and Parsons Copse with views across the Dorset countryside looking towards Bulbarrow hill. This exclusive glamping site features our very own double-decker bus! The site can sleep 10 comfortably between the bus (4), bunkhouse (4) and a shepherds hut (2), all built on the Stock Gaylard estate.
Glamping Bus, Horsebox, Bunkhouse & Shepherds Hut!
The Bus was once a coastal tourist bus starting its life on the Isle of White, then moving to Norfolk before finally finding its true calling in the glamping world. With most of the original seats removed it now boasts four beds on the lower deck while the upper deck houses an undercover seating area and kitchen. The back half of the upper deck has been left open to the skies. We have installed an oak bench that gives seating around three sides of the custom built oak table in the middle.
The Bunkhouse contains one double bed and two single bunks above. With the additional two man yurt this gives the site a total bed capacity for eleven people. Whilst there is only seating for nine undercover in the bus there are plates and cutlery for eleven.
There is a towed horsebox that contains a gas heated shower/bath with a table and basin. Near the horsebox is a raised compost toilet with its own sink. The whole site is plumbed with mains water.
The site is child friendly and we welcome up to two dogs on this site. Hen do’s are also welcome at Parson’s Camp.
There are excellent train links nearby at Sherborne, from there Stock Gaylard is a 10 minute taxi ride, there is a taxi office at the station.
We recommend Dike & Son, our local family run supermarket in Stalbridge for groceries. They sell a range of local produce plus all the well known brands you use everyday.
In addition we can provide Venison from the estate POA.

- Extra games.
